Storehouse Row at the Navy Yard is comprised of a series of five buildings that originally served as storehouses and even housed machinist schools in the early 1900s. Several of these buildings are among the original twenty-eight buildings at the shipyard and each embodies unique characteristics that harken back to its original purpose. While Storehouses 7, 10, and 11 have been restored to mixed-use office space, Storehouses 8 and 9 are slated to undergo redevelopment in 2020. Positioned at the bank of the Cooper River and accessible by all three counties, the Navy Yard is poised to be an epicenter of growth. The Navy Yards location between the booming "neck of the Charleston peninsula, which continues to push north, and its position south of the growth up the I-26 corridor in Nexton and Summerville make it clear that the Navy Yard could not be more well-positioned to capitalize on growth both in geography and timing. Storehouse 9 is a five-story office/mixed-use building with 78,000 SF of leasable space. The first floor is available for office or retail use and can be subdivided as low as 3,500 SF. Floors 2-4 feature 18,000 SF floor plates that can be configured to tenant specifications. The fifth-floor penthouse is designed as the premium Navy Yard space, with panoramic views and floor to ceiling glass.
